Few band members of a rock group are as openly content with being considered the weakest instrumentalist in the ensemble as Bartholomew Boge is. “I am fully aware that the rhythm section of Divine In Sight completely outclasses me as a player, as does Dan as a vocalist,” Boge muses, “so I'm glad I get to write material for these amazing players.” It was Boge who first cast the vision for the band’s previous concept album project, the critically well-received Sorrow & Promise (2001), for which he wrote the story, lyrics, and a large portion of the music.

As a guitarist, Boge’s fat, “woman tone” classic rock sound, melodic sensibilities, and rich vibrato add fire and passion to the band's complex arrangements, influenced to no small degree by 70’s art rock guitar masters David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore and Brian May.
